PODCAST – Welsh Politics After The Senedd Election
It’s now been over a month since the historic Senedd election which saw Labour all but wiped out, Plaid Cymru win a Welsh election for the first time ever and Reform fail to form a government despite making huge gains (and The Wales Green party elected its first ever two Senedd members)
In this latest episode of the voice.cymru podcast, hosts Seb and Stef look at some interesting new data that has come out about how people voted in Cymru, and what this says about both Plaid’s and Reform’s social base. They also look at what the new Plaid government have done in its first 30 days, and ask how the left in Wales can respond to the new administration.
We also hear from a campaigner who has been fighting against plans to build 27 US imperialist space radars along the Pembrokeshire coastline. The campaign has gained huge momentum, with Plaid pledging to scrap the plans. This could be the first big test of the Plaid government, who may have to face down both Westminster and Trump if they oppose the DARC proposals.
